Aug. 2004 – We are pleased to present the lastest from Banks Studios. A longtime admirer of Bastien Lepage, Allan has created a truly breathtaking work that pays homage to this great 19th century French naturalist.

Web Site

January 1, 2002 marks the release of version 3 of the web site. It is the first major revision in over a year and is the result of our research to make the site easier to navigate while still presenting the artwork in the best possible manner.
    We would like to acknowledge the influence of the design group at LandRover.com. We have admired their excellent taste in web design for a number of years. We would also like to acknowledge the influence of American Art Review and the Classical Realism Journal for their elegant page layout and design. I would also like to thank David Siegel for writing the book Creating Killer Web Sites.
    The text links in the site are slightly larger and brighter than the normal text. They are not underlined, so don't let it fool you.
    After many years of remaining a loyal Netscape user, we switched several years ago to Microsoft Internet Explorer because of its ability to display more advanced design. Congratulations to Michael Chelich on his commission by the Indiana State Capitol to paint Governor Frank O’Bannon’s portrait.

Holly Hope Banks tries her hand at writing with elegant results. An Artistic Imagination appeared in the October 2001 issue of American Artist magazine.

Igor V Babailov’s recent sketch of Nelson Mandela is under consideration for an official Canada post stamp. In September 2001, the Russian Government sponsored the publishing of The World of Igor Babailov, a book on the artist’s life and career.
