Star Wars Art: Visions, Collection of George Lucas

Over the last two years, we were honored to work with the Lucasfilm studio on a groundbreaking new book, Star Wars Art: Visions. Three of our artists, Allan R. Banks, Carl Samson, and Steven J. Levin caught the eye of Jonathan Rinzler and George Lucas as they sought out the best realist artists to make the book a reality.

A charming oil study used in planning the magnificent work above is available. Contact gallery for price.

Yes, that is Natalie Portman. She portrayed Padme in the Star Wars movies. A timeless beauty, definitely one of my favorite actresses.

Artist Focus – Holly Hope Banks

Painting of Holly Hope Banks by Allan R. BanksTruly one the most beautiful and gifted people I have ever met. Holly's dedication to the arts spills over into all areas of her life and the lives of those fortunate enough to know her or own one of her paintings.

Holly is well known for her portraits, floral paintings, and exhibition works with the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, Butler Institute of American Art, Audobon Artists, and others.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Holly began her art education at the University of Toledo, receiving her Bachelor’s of Art degree in 1981. She was a registered copyist at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. for 5 years with continued classical training at the Atelier of Plein-air Studies for 4 years. Holly has furthered her studies by extensive travels to Europe.
